DAY 1  Depart for Winton 7.30am.
Morning tea at QANTAS Museum Longreach, travel to Winton & the Waltzing Matilda Centre, lunch at the centre, Visit the famous Opal Walk & Dinosaur Diorama & town tour.
Overnight at Matilda Motel Winton.
DAY 2  Depart for Longreach
Morning Tea at Station Store then a tour of the 707 and 747 aircrafts at Qantas. Lunch at the RSL Club then visit the Stockman's Hall of Fame and Rusty's stockman show.  At 4.30pm we travel  out to the river for a sunset river cruise dinner and bush show under the stars.
Overnight Longreach Motel.
DAY 3  Back to Barcaldine
Stopping to Ilfacombe. A great little historic town with a machinery collection second to none. A drink at the famous Wellshot Hotel. On to Barcaldine for lunch at Roses and Things, the best rose garden in the west.
Tonight our motel is in Barcaldine.
DAY 4  Aramac & Gracevale Tour
7.30am. This is the day that puts us above the rest & is exclusive to Artesian Country Tours. Ancient lava flows, Aboriginal Dreamtime Carving Site over 10,000 years old, lava blow holes, gorges, caves, Cobb & Co. campsite.
Learn the real history of Aboriginal & European contact around the first town on the wild frontier.
Return to Barcaldine by 6.15pm.
DAY 5  Depart 7.30am visiting Jericho, Alpha, morning tea. Rubyvale tour through Miners Heritage Mine - great deals on sapphires. Lunch at Rubyvale Hotel, on to Anakie before boarding the Spirit of the Outback.

Barcaldine 3.40pm, transfer to motel. Casual town history tour before dinner
Thursday  Travel west to Longreach. Morning tea and tour of Qantas Founders Museum. Travel the vast Mitchell Grass Country to the legendary town of Winton. Visit the famous Waltzing Matilda Centre, the Dinosaur Diorama and the Opal Walk, plus a lot more on the town tour.
Overnight at the Matilda Motel Winton.
Friday  A great country alfresco breakfast. Today is our Longreach experience- a tour through the 747, a unique insight into this great aircraft, then onto the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame and Rusty's Stockmans Show and learn the history of our early pioneers. After lunch a town lookabout tour, time to freshen up and shower, then travel back over 100 years - "Fair Dinkum" it's Clancy's Campout, a pioneering Experience unequalled. A Cobb & Co. Coach ride through the bush to the mighty Thomson River, close behind is the wagonette loaded with comfy Swags. Camp on the River bank, maybe catch a yellowbelly and enjoy the legendary three course camp oven dinner. Followed by bush poetry, campfire sing-along and yarns you will never forget. Your swags are waiting, drift off any time you like and enjoy the wondrous glory of the everlasting stars, and see the vision splendid.
Saturday  Wake up to the best campfire breakfast you will ever have. Harness up the horses, return reluctantly to Longreach saying goodbye to Kinnon and Co. "Thanks mate!" Back to Barcaldine via Ilfacombe. See the machinery collection that is second to none and drink at the famous Wellshot Hotel. Lunch at Barcaldine then visit the Australian Workers Heritage Centre, town tour and walk through the best rose garden in the west. Back to Motel 5.30pm.
Sunday  Aramac & Gracevale Tour
This tour also operates as a full day tour on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday (see below for more details) The best tour in the outback, as seen on TV. Exclusive to Artesian Country tours putting us above the rest. Learn the real history of Aboriginal and European contact around the first town on the wild frontier. Travel through ancient lava flows to one of Australia's oldest Dreamtime carving sites, over 10,000 years old. Visit lava blow holes, gorges, caves, the first pioneers' cutting into the outback, old grey rock, Settlers and Cobb & Co. campsite. Back to Motel at 6pm.
Monday  Depart 7.45am visiting Jericho, Alpha, great little towns. Cross the Great Dividing Range to the gemfields of Rubyvale and tour through the Miner's Heritage Mine - great deals on sapphires. Lunch at Rubyvale Hotel. Tour through Rubyvale and Anakie before boarding the Spirit of the Outback at Anakie Station, 2.55pm for Rockhampton, Brisbane.



This is the best tour in the outback.

Visit old Aramac, the first town settled in the area. Then travel through ancient lava flows, to Aboriginal Dreamtime. Aboriginal and European contact and settlement. See one of Australia's oldest Dreamtime Carving Sites over 10,000 years old, lava blow holes, gorges, caves and desert springs, the first pioneers cutting into the outback, Grey Rock, settlers and Cobb & Co. campsite.

Tour includes morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea.
